Welcome to Practical Philosophy Kent

A ten week evening course in Practical Philosophy

Meetings with Plato in Kent

Various locations.

Plato ran an Academy in Athens dedicated to the love of truth (Philosophy). His dialogues of Socrates' conversations are peppered with challenges, wit and occasional outrage. If you would like to get acquainted with his work and see how relevant his observations of the human condition are to you and our world, then join like-minded people this Spring.

We are studying the Crito, third of the four Plato dialogues leading up to Socrates' death.

The study meetings are drop-in gatherings, not a course, so it is perfectly acceptable to come along when you want to and see how it goes. You can bring a friend if you wish. You do not need to be a member of Practical Philosophy Kent to join in.

No prior knowledge is required to join the group; just a willingness to question, read, listen and apply reason is all you need.

There is no charge for the meeting, just a contribution for the refreshments at each session.
